Before and after: a badly rusted corrugated iron roof, and the same roof replaced in new sheeting
Roof replacement, corroded iron — the old sheeting had rusted through at the laps. Stripped back, timbers checked, new sheets and flashings throughout.
A completed metal roof on a harbourside Sydney home, water visible behind
Waterfront metal roof — the kind of position that eats standard fixings. Coastal-grade sheet and stainless fasteners throughout.
Bay Brothers crew laying sarking and battens on a stripped Sydney roof, wearing harnesses
Sarking and battens — the part nobody sees once the roof is on, and the part that decides whether it leaks.
Close-up of repair work on a corroded corrugated metal roof
Repair, corroded sheeting — finding where the water is actually getting in, which is rarely where it shows up inside.
A newly installed dark Colorbond roof on a Paddington home
New Colorbond roof, Paddington — heritage conservation area, so the profile and colour had to satisfy council as well as the client.
A curved bullnose verandah roof on a Sydney terrace
Bullnose verandah — curved sheeting on a terrace. Fiddly, unforgiving, and obvious from the street if it is done badly.
Roofs across an Eastern Suburbs Sydney street
Eastern Suburbs tile — the housing stock we know best, and the exposure that comes with it.
Detail of a finished dark metal roof
Finished detail — capping sitting where it should, lines straight. The bit that says how the rest of the job was done.
Box gutter and lead flashing worked in around a brick chimney
Box gutter and chimney flashing — where most older roofs actually leak. Done properly it is invisible; done badly it is a ceiling stain.
Roof works in progress on a Sydney home overlooking the harbour
Harbourside roof works — the view is the good part. The salt that comes with it is why the specification matters.

Highly recommend Bay Brothers Roofing. Richie and his team did a great job replacing the roof of our outdoor pergola. Everything was done efficiently and to a high quality, with no mess left behind! Him and his team were also easy to communicate with, providing a quick and competitive quote within days of asking.
